Disha'vtar

Guess who visited us on Lord Krishna's birthday (Also called krishnastami - thanks mom for that tounge twister)???

The birthday boy himself. His name was kind of hard for me to say, so i started calling him Kris.

So, Kris stopped by, played his flute. He also showed us his new skill - playing drums with his flute.

He then asked me for some butter, but i told him to watch his calorie intake and gave him "I can't believe it's not butter". He was glad to know about this alternative :) We then did an "all-nighter" playing various games. When i woke up, he was gone...

By the way, did you notice - he resembles someone familiar. Wonder who he looks like ;)

Happy Birthday!

I know I know..I am just 3 months old.. But before you ask me too many questions, here is my calculation - I was in my mom's tummy for 9 months, and out here for another 3 months..that makes it 1 year. So its PARTY TIME!!

I wanted to make it a small private party with my close friends i play with daily- Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Caterpiller, Tiger, Lion king, Frog, Monkey, Tortoise, Squirrel. Here is a snap of the beautiful cake and all my friends...And here is the star of the party (drum roll please)...

Thanks to my mom, i blew the candles (ALL THREE OF THEM), cut my cake (I had to protect it from the hungry tiger, and had to keep an eye on it) and distributed it to my friends. Altogether, it was great fun...

I love Big Books!

My parents tried to get me started with small kids books first - the ones with colors, textures and shapes. You see, I really belong to another league - the big book club. They really had hard time getting it.

Finally, my wish came true the other day- A BIG RED BOOK at last.

Ah the sweet feeling of triumph :) As you can see, I was quite excited..

And I had a great time reading and enjoying the book..

In case you were wondering if i can read all those pages, well...a big book need not have lots of pages. Look at what my big red book has inside.. Isn't it fun reading big books like these ;)

Summer in Seattle

Well it's Summer time, and it's hot..Even for Seattle!

So, i put on my sun screen, wore my cotton shirt, and chilled in my back yard. A lemonade would have really capped it off... But you know the drill, I can't drink it! Anyways, here are some snaps of me having jolly good time in the lawn..

My New Stroller!

Check it out...Introducing my brand new stroller. Isn't it nice? Do you know it has breaks? Do you know what it means? It means i can travel at super sonic speeds and can still stop at my favourite ice cream shop the moment i see it... And that is my mom holding the stroller.

A little later, I learnt that i dont get to drive it and have to wait at least couple of years to drive anything ..First I can't eat cakes and sweets, and now I can't drive. Can you believe it?

Saving grace - The ride in it was still good. I (actually my parents) took it out for a test drive the other day to Bellevue Botanical Gardens. Btw, to prove that I am really in there, here is another snap with me in it.

My First Week!

So I crossed my first major milestone - my first week. It has been quite eventful - gained some weight, finished my first paediatrician appointment and the best part - a spanking new dress every day, including a new kiddopotamus. Nice.. Here is me in my kiddo..

To celebrate this occasion my aunt made me a cake...I was very excited to eat my first cake, but i was told i can't eat cakes either...I mean i am 7 days old and i can't eat a cake? Beats me! Anyways, here is the cake

My Foot!

OK. It's been 5 days and its now time to take the impression of my foot to always refer back to how big i was at this time. It took a good couple hours for 3 engineers and a doctor to figure this out. Though i was a little disappointed by the lack of their efficiency, i let them off the hook and gave them my feet to take impression.
